About OGC

Founded by Oliver Ghysen

I'm a former Belgian kitesurfing champion, a competition judge, and a mechanical engineer specialised in robotics. OGC is where my passions for engineering and kiting collided.

What began as a personal experiment quickly grew into a product trusted by some of the world's best riders, including Andrea Principi and Cohan van Dijk. Every handle is designed, produced, and hand-finished by me personally.

Outside of OGC, I work as Lead Engineer at Common Sense Robotics, a startup building AI-powered automation for manufacturing, where my work spans mechanical design, computer vision, robot control, and advanced AI reasoning.
